In January 2020, my family and I loaded up our lives in California and drove east to Georgia. We bought our first home in Canton and got settled into the North Georgia area. In 2022 we purchased land in Jasper — a small mountain town in Pickens County that most of the country has never heard of — and in 2023 we started building our custom home. We moved in that fall and have been in Jasper ever since. It’s been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
